RAK Airways, one of the national carriers of the UAE, has expanded its route network with flights to Dhaka and Chittagong. Effective December 15th 2010, RAK Airways will offer three flights a week to Dhaka and three flights a week to Chittagong. RAK Airways CEO Omar Jahameh said, "With our new routes to Bangladesh RAK Airways is delivering on its mandate to provide travellers with a value offering to a range of exciting destinations." Jahameh explained the destinations had been strategically chosen, "With flights to the nation's capital, Dhaka, the centre of economy and commerce as well as to the coastal, tourist hot-spot, Chittagong, RAK Airways passengers can take advantage of the latent opportunities for trade and tourism that exist between the UAE and Bangladesh," Jahameh concluded.
