The manmade fiber industry seems to be getting used to bad news, be it over capacity cutbacks, rising raw material prices, a global recession, or the latest headache; political tension in the aftermath of the terrorist attack on America.rn"Initially we were very optimistic about ITMA-Asia. But a couple of months prior to the show we were getting feedback from some of our clients saying they were not coming," said Barmag AG's Executive Board Member Martin Stillger, referring to the slowing economy.rnThen came September 11 and expectations were further reduced. "But the fears never came to fruition," Mr. Stillger said at the end of the show.
