With about three dozen projects to add nitrogen capacity in North America either proposed or being built, the question is not whether fertilizer demand is rebounding - and US natural gas demand along with it - but how much the market can sustain, an industry veteran said recently. Growing gas demand in North American domestic markets will compete for supply with North American liquefied natural gas export projects and could send US gas prices higher.
