摘要

This paper presents a new self-tuning stabilizer for enhance- ment of the dynamic stability in power systems. An adaptive control algorithm tracks the system operating conditions by using a least-squares identification technique and the con- troller is synthesizes via a generalized predictive control scheme, The stabilizer proposed is evaluated by computer simulation of a single-machine system and the influence of its main design parameters is analysed. The same scheme is then applied to multi-machine equivalent of the Southern Brazil power system. The results obtained in the simulation Tests for both systems indicate that the proposed scheme can Be applied to synthesize power system stabilizers.
