摘要

This is an excellent book that covers a lot of ground and seeks to appreciate the strategic needs of the type of firm that populates the majority of industries in all countries: small, and independently owned and operated. As the authors point out, these firms are characterized as having very limited growth ambitions as well as poor records for innovation. With this caveat, they attempt to show how a strategic approach can help the limited number of small firms who do seek growth to achieve it, and in the process perhaps encourage others.
