摘要

A new method of anti-fouling technology with Polytelrafluoroethylene (PTFE) coatings was developed for plate heat exchangers. Experiments of single-phase flow and heat transfer in carbon and stainless steel plate heat exchangers with and without PTFE coatings were simultaneously conducted and the experimental results were compared with each other. Heat transfer coefficients in the heat exchanger with PTFE coating decrease by 6% while pressure drops also decrease by 4% as compared with that in the heat exchanger without PTFE coating. An economic analysis shows that the carbon plate heat exchanger with PTFE coatings has lower production cost than the stainless steel plate heat exchanger without PTFE coatings. Also, field experimental results have confirmed the advantage of anti-fouling performance of the heat exchanger with PTFE coatings.
