The Organisation pour la Mise en Valeur du Fleuve Gambie (OMVG), the Gambia River Basin Development Organisation, invited expressions of interest in mid-July from consultants to act as project consultant and owner's engineer for the 128 MW Sambangalou hydropower project, and a transmission line connecting the grids of the OMVG member states. Bids were due on 4 August and are now being evaluated.
