摘要

Although there were 25 per cent fewer offshore wind turbines connected to the grid in Europe during the first half of 2014, compared with last year, (781 MW compared with 1045 MW), according to the European Wind Energy Association, there are 282 wind turbines now commissioned, but not yet connected. When connected, they will add a further 1.2 GW of offshore wind energy capacity. The total installed offshore wind capacity in Europe is now 7343 MW from 73 wind farms across 11 countries, capable of producing 27 TWh/year of electricity. In the first six months of 2014, 224 offshore wind turbines in 16 commercial wind farms and one offshore demon- stration site with a combined capacity totalling 781 MW were fully connected to the grid.
