摘要

The second turbine at the Chiem Hoa hydro project on the Gam river in Vietnam's northeastern province of Tuyen Quang province started generating electricity for the national grid on 8 September, following successful testing at the start of the month. The first of the 48 MW plant's three bulb turbines began operation in July, with the third 16 MW unit expected to begin service in November. The plant is the first in Vietnam to use low head bulb turbines. It is projected to generate average annual output of 193.4 GWh.
