Experts from all sectors of the World Hydropower Community will assemble for three days in Addis Ababa for practical discussions on hydropower, dams and some broader aspects of water resources development. Delegations attending will represent all countries of Africa with important water resources and hydropower development programmes under way; they will discuss their needs, development potential and targets, and they will interact with international experts on topics such as planning tools, financing strategies, dam safety, hydro equipment, adaptation to climate change, flood discharge works, RCC dams, and environmental protection.
