The Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development will extend a US$ 210 million loan to Sudan for a scheme to increase the height of the dam at the 280 MW Roseires hydro plant on the Blue Nile. A loan agreement was signed on 6 January carrying a 25-year repayment term and six-year grace period.
