摘要

Accelerated life test (ALT) is one widely used method in engineering applicationsnowadays for evaluating the reliability of highly reliable products. In this study,three-parameter Burr-XII distribution (3pBXIID) is considered to model the lifetime ofhighly reliable product. The maximum likelihood function and likelihood equations of the3pBXIID based on A LT type I censored samples are analytically established. The particleswarm optimization algorithm (PS O) is used to obtain maximum likelihood estimates(MLEs), denoted by PSO-MLEs, of parameters in the 3pBXIID. The performance of theproposed PSO-MLE method is evaluated via using Monte Carlo simulations. Simulationresults show that the proposed method can obtain reliable MLEs of model parameters forthe 3pBXIID with A LT type I censored samples.
