We revisit the "information extension of games" by the Russian scientist SV Germeir (1976). The context is the 'battle of the sexes' game. Germeir proposed the conveyance of a behavioural rule by any one spouse to the other which would lead to a unique outcome. Our conjecture is that behavioural rules are protocols offered by each party to the other. The route taken to the proof of the existence of a behavioural equilibrium is nonstandard.
