Hydratight Sweeney, the industry leader in bolt tight-ening technology has been awarded a contract to design, manufacture and supply a range of Multi-Stud Tensioner tooling (MST) for the new Framatome steam generators being installed at the Prairie Island, Minnesota, US, operated by the Nuclear Management Company. The new tooling will play a key role in the life extension program being initiated by the utility. Training in the handling and operation of these new tools forms aa integral part of the contract. Delivery of the tools is scheduled for this month.
