THE Malaysian government has announced plans to realign its Ringgits 44bn ($US 10.57bn) East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project, reverting to the project's original route with minor adjustments south of Kuala Lumpur. Deputy transport minister, Mr Hasbi Habibollah says the government will reassess the project's cost and schedule following the realignment alongside negotiations with the project's main contractor, China Communications Construction Company (CCCC), and the Chinese government.
