Hitachi has announced details of a new railway simulator which it claims will enable railway operators to test and develop systems that optimise their operations, helping to reduce energy costs and improve efficiency. The new system will be able to evaluate complete railway systems by simulating the coordination of various equipment types including rolling stock, signalling, traffic control and electrification.
