摘要

This paper presents operation and control strategies of a wind farm which is connected to the grid in presence of SVC and STATCOM. The proposed wind farm is 50MW, includes of 5 induction generators based 10MW Fixed speed wind turbines driving squirrel cage induction generators while each of the wind turbines are equipped with blade angle controller. To assess the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed controllers, simulation studies are carried out for three operating conditions. Firstly, normal operation of the system with consideration of wind speed variations is surveyed. Next, analysis of an unsymmetrical single-phase fault is performed on the system operation. Moreover, a symmetrical three-phase fault is analyzed, extensively. Moreover, the effectiveness of the proposed controllers is explained through some performance indices studies. The performance of proposed controllers for the stabilization of the power system is evaluated by computer simulation studies in PSCAD/EMTDC environment. The simulation results show that the system composed with the proposed controllers can improve the transient and normal operations of the wind farm. Simulation results under different operating conditions and performance indices show fine operation of the Wind farm with contribution of mentioned FACTS devices even when the severe fault has been applied.
