Serum levels of creatine kinase (CK), aspartate aminotransferase (AST) and alanine aminotransferase (ALT) were measured in soldiers 9-10 days and 1, 3 and 12 months after enlisting. Additionally, 3 and 12 months after enlisting these enzymes were measured following a 5-km walking/running race trial. Activities of the enzymes during first weeks of military service were considerably higher than after 12 months of the service and than the values found in the control group, composed of healthy students of the same age. The walking/running race trial caused significant rise of all tested enzymes; the post-exercise values were significantly higher 3 months after enlisting of soldiers, when compared with those obtained after 12 months.%Les niveaux sériques de créatine kinase (CK), d'aspartate aminotransférase (AST) et d'alanine aminotransférase (ALT) ont été mesurés chez des soldats, 9 à 10 jours et 1, 3 et 12 mois après leur incorporation.
