An Italian local authority making a big impression for all the right reasons is (unfortunately) a rare occurrence, but the sweeping scope of Padua's multi-functional centre does just that. The various steps that led from its inception to its completion were entrusted to a single Architect's Studio, which is responsible for everything from the original urban scale model to every single detail of the architectural design itself. The result is a building that is cohesive and of rare quality, considering that such large constructions often fall victim to changes during their completion.
