The dot crash of 2000 is turning forecasters more than bearish: Pundits are going apocalyptic. The Gartner Group's chief recently announced that 98 percent of dot corns (presumably B-to-C) will be out of business in two years, while Forrester Research's CEO and chairman George Colony told me he was more optimistic-that only 70 to 80 percent would expire. If you're looking for bad news, you'll find it. But the worst news may be "the singularity."
