The Development Symposium for Regulators (DSR), held in Geneva from 20 to 22 November 2000, succeeded in launching rna global dialogue among national telecommunication regulators. ITU Secretary-General, Yoshio Utsumi, opened the DSR to a capacity audience, noting that ITU has an important role to play in helping to strengthen regulatory bodies. This milestone event was the world's first global gathering of regulators.
