Lithuania is considering establishing a single defence procurement agency, according to Defence Minister Raimundas Karoblis. In an interview with the Baltic News Service, published on 10 January, Karoblis said the country was working on uniting its existing defence procurement administrations. "Currently, the structure of procurement is decentralised, with 17 different task forces in operation. We must follow the good examples from the Western world about a separate procurement agency that would be the focus of all procurement, possibly except for the smallest purchases," he told a Baltic News Service interviewer.
