The US Air Force's (USAF's) KC-46A Pegasus aerial refuelling tanker programme is facing another delay, this one likely to be a couple of months long, according to service testimony. USAF Secretary Heather Wilson told the Senate Armed Services Committee on 6 June that an independent USAF assessment found risk in the testing schedule could delay delivery. USAF Chief of Staff General David Goldfein told the same Senate panel that contractor Boeing had not anticipated some challenges with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certification, testing issues, and achieving required data points.
