The Republic of Korea Navy (RoKN) has received its sixth air-independent propulsion-capable KSS-2 (Type 214) diesel-electric submarine, according to a Yonhap report on 10 July. The 1,800-tonne vessel, which will be known as RoKS Yu Gwan-sun with pennant number 078 once it is commissioned, was handed over by South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding& Marine Engineering (DSME) on the same day. Yu Gwan-sun was launched by the company in 2015.
