Northrop Grumman will not bid for the US Navy's (USN's) MQ.-25 Stingray Unmanned Carrier Aviation Air System (UCAAS) competition; according to a company spokesman. Tim Paynter said on 25 October that the acquisition approach detailed in the contest's request for proposals (RFPs) would require the company to make a bid that would not be in its or its shareholders' best interests. He did not respond to a request for further comment.
