Taiwan's primary aerospace manufacturer, the Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), plans to enhance domestic industrial capability through a strategy it refers to as "A-Team 4.0". AIDC said on 18 March that the strategy is centred on strengthening links with local Tier 2 and Tier 3 suppliers in a bid to improve efficiencies and Taiwan's competitiveness in regional aerospace markets. In meetings held with local suppliers AIDC chairman Liao Rongxin said A-Team 4.0 will feature expanded collaboration in four main areas including sourcing raw materials, machining and tools, logistics and support, and manufacturing components and parts.
