Privinvest is to provide "a range of vessels" to the Angolan Navy as part of a "major shipbuilding and maritime economy programme", the shipbuilding group announced on 2 September. As part of this programme Privinvest will team with a company called Simportex to develop and operate a shipyard in Angola that can build and service ships and will also transfer technology for constructing naval vessels in the country, said the shipbuilder. "This marks another step in our co-operation with one of the most dynamic economies in Africa," the press release quoted Boulos Hankach, president of Privinvest Shipbuilding Investments, as saying.
