India's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has published a list of 12 Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) projects that have been delayed by an average of five years. Subhash Bhamre, minister of state for defence, said in parliament on 25 November that these so-called Mission Mode Projects (MMPs) have been deferred due to "technological challenges", "unanticipated complexities", as well as changes and delays caused by the services when finalising qualitative requirements.
