The United States Navy [USN] under-stands the value of unmanned [aircraft] systems [UASs] and how we want to integrate and employ them initially; I say that because we are where the [US Air Force - USAF] was around a decade ago." So said Captain Chris Corgnati, USN deputy director for ISR capabilities within the office of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Dominance (N2/N6). He was speaking at a debate in Washington, DC, in 2014 organised by the Centre for Strategic and International Studies and titled 'Sustaining the US Lead in DoD [Department of Defense] Unmanned Systems'.
