The delivery to Jordan of four Air Tractor AT-802 intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) aircraft is a "counter-terrorism priority" for US Central Command (CENTCOM), according to a document released via the US Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website. The partially redacted document stated that "specially trained" CENTCOM forces are in Jordan to "assist conducting counter-terrorism missions" and said their lives would be at risk if the aircraft are not delivered. "These four aircraft are urgently needed to eliminate a combat capability deficiency, which is likely to result in combat fatalities," said the document.
