The US Army has issued a request for information (RfI) for a new Future Utility Aircraft (FUA) to replace its fleet of Beech C-12 Huron and Fairchild C-26 Metroliner operational support platforms. The Rfl, which was originally posted in late March but updated in mid-April, sets out a number of key criteria that any bidding platform must fulfil. These include that should it be a commercial off-the-shelf aircraft capable of being fitted with military communications and other equipment, and that it should be a multi-engine type.
