Long-running efforts to priva-tise Israel Military Industries (IMI) have recommenced with the announcement that the government has approved plans to sell the majority of the state-owned land systems and munitions group. Israel's ministerial commit-tee for privatisation - chaired by the Minister of Finance -cleared the sale on 27 November following the easing of the concerns of the Ministry of Defence in recent weeks.
