The US Army is expecting to receive a funding boost for its MQ-1C Grey Eagle unmanned aerial system (UAS) as the Department of Defense realigns its budget to, among other things, augment intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) in theatre. Starting in Fiscal Year 2012 (FY12), the army expects to accelerate the Grey Eagle programme to produce three systems per year.
