Boeing anticipates that South Korea's Defence Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) will issue a request for information (Rfl) for the Republic of Korea Army's AH-X attack helicopter acquisition programme in October, the company said on 7 September. Speaking at Sacheon, near Seoul, Bill Elder, head of Boeing's International Business Development for Rotorcraft, said he expects this Rfl to be followed by a request for pro- posals (RfP) in January 2012. With Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) already responsible for manufacturing the fuselages of Boeing's AH-64D Apache attack helicopter, Boeing feels it is well-placed to respond to the DAPA requests when they are issued.
