Russia has finalised a USD4 billion loan to Venezuela to support its procurement of defence equipment from Moscow, according to Russian state media.rnThe loan was reportedly agreed during a visit to Venezuela by Igor Sechin, Russia's deputy prime minister. Hugo Chavez, Venezuela's president, said: "Two billion [dollars] will be provided next year and another two billion in 2013," according to comments carried by state news service RIA Novosti on 7 October.
