Turkey has ended operations in the Kazan valley in pursuit of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, part of an offensive to send troops into northern Iraq to overcome the outlawed group.On 27 October National Defence Minister Ismet Yilmaz said: "Other than our normal routine struggle against terror, the operation in Kazan valley ... is over."Turkey opened its offensive on 20 October after 24 soldiers were killed in a series of ambushes by the PKK - listed as a terrorist group by a number of international organisations - in the country's southeast left 24 soldiers dead.
