The Israel Defence Force (IDF) is to train its infantry to develop interrogation skills aimed to enhance the collection of real-time battlefield intelligence.rnArmy HQ made the decision to offer the two-week course following the December 2008-January 2009 operation against Hamas in the Gaza Strip. The IDF faced heavy international criticism and scrutiny of its practices during the operation, amid widespread allegations of abuse of its detainees.rnSoldiers selected by IDF military intelligence (MI) will study Arabic and basic interrogation methods: skills that are considered a crucial component of preparations for an eventual conflict with Hamas.
