BAE Systems Australia Chief Executive Jim McDowell voiced strong concerns about the future of Australia's indigenous electronic warfare (EW) capability on 13 April.rnSpeaking at the biennial Old Crows EW convention in Adelaide, McDowell noted that the 2009 Defence Capability Plan (DCP) indicated that the Department of Defence (DoD) was seeking to procure nearly all of its military capability off the shelf.rn"Australian industry involvement becomes restricted to the provision of mission support and system through-life sustainment-related activities as the only remaining avenue to shore up business viability,"rnhe said.
