The Indian Air Force (IAF) will take delivery of the third Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) Phalcon Ilyushin II-76TD airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft by December 2010.rnAddressing parliament on 4 May, Indian Defence Minister A K Antony said the IAF will procure additional AEW&C aircraft over the next three financial five-year plans until 2027, but did not provide details. He added that the state-run Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) was also developing an AEW&C system.
