Israeli technology house Eltics has signed an agreement with Israel Military Industries (IMI) under which the Black Fox 'active, adaptive multispectral camouflage technology' will be combined with IMI's explosive reactive armour (ERA).rnThe agreement was signed on the eve of the Eurosatory defence exhibition. The combined product will be known as Invisible Reactive Armor Protection (IRAP).rnEltics' Black Fox technology works by focusing a vehicle-mounted forward-looking infra-red (FLIR) camera onto a neutral background, the resulting thermal signature of which is then put through a digital signal processor and central processing unit and then 'projected' onto the front of a series of plates covering the vehicle.
