Russia saw defence exports of USD5.3 billion in the first six months of 2010, putting it on course to reach its target of USD9.5 billion for the year.rnThe data was released by Mikhail Dmitriyev, the head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, who was speaking at the first day of the Engineering Technologies International Forum 2010 in Zhukovsky, near Moscow, on 30 June.rnRussia's USD9.5 billion export target for 2010 would represent a rise of 12 per cent compared with 2009. Its major customers are China and India, while a number of other states, such as Algeria, Malaysia and Venezuela, have also figured prominently in recent years.
