Beijing is sending a high-level defence delegation to three Middle Eastern countries on 3 November as part of continuing efforts to expand military exports to the region.rnThe Chinese Ministry of Defence (MoD) said that a team led by Xu Caihou, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission (CMC), will spend 10 days in the Middle East visiting officials in Jordan, Syria and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).rnThe MoD said: "The high-level exchanges ... enrich the relations between China and the Arabian states, lay the foundation for the bilateral military exchanges and co-operation and promote the multilayer and multi-field development of the bilateral military ties."
