Spain's National Institute for Aerospace Technology (Instituto Nacional de Tecnica Aeroespacial - INTA) has begun construction of a larger version of the prototype SIVA (Sistema Integrado de Vigilancia Aerea) unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), which it hopes will begin flight trials by the end of the year.rnAt 900 kg, the 'Milano' will be three times heavier than its predecessor, with a wingspan of 12.5 m and length of 8.2 m. It will also be able to fly at an altitude of 7,000 m - nearly twice that of the SIVA -and have a speed of 230 km/h.
