While debate centres on the need for more British helicopters in Afghanistan, Trefor Moss stresses the importance of an effective 'hold and build' strategyrnAs the first of 21,000 additional US troops began arriving in Afghanistan in April, the commander of the International Security Assistance Force's (ISAF's) Regional Command South (RC-South), Major General Mart de Kruif, told Jane's at a briefing in Kandahar that there would be a price to pay for upping the pressure on the Taliban.rn"There will be more casualties because we will be going into areas we haven't been into before," he said.
