Mexican Navy Minister Admiral Mariano Saynez Mendoza inaugurated Ensenada Search-and-Rescue (SAR) Naval Station (Estacion Naval SAR - ENSAR) on 13 August, some 60 miles south of the US border on the country's Pacific coast.rnAnother ENSAR was officially opened two days later in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, on the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. The two openings are part of a nationwide plan to establish 17 new stations along Mexico's coasts,rnexpanding the navy s search-and-rescue (SAR) coverage and maritime law enforcement capabilities. They will comprise six Class A and 11 Class B naval stations.
