Europe has a nasty habit of shooting itself in the foot when it conies to military partnerships. While European defence manufacturers have proven that they can develop great military prod- ucts when they work together, too often politically induced programme delays or individual funding problems hamper the full potential of these products as governments follow the age-old idea of protecting national interest.
