The best starting point for explaining how the Turkish Air Force (TuAF) will develop and adapt over the next two decades is to assess the changing nature of warfare and the distinctive role of air and space power in this transformation. Understanding this transformation and adapting to it are the primary goals for air force leaders and planners. I believe new concepts of military operations, such as effects-based operations, will dominate the nature of air warfare in the future. Space will be actively used by more nations in support of capabilities-based air forces. This means more emphasis will be given to joint, combined and multinational operations, as well as interoperable systems , doctrines and concepts.
