The US Marine Corps (USMC) and US Navy (USN) have completed a major overhaul of plans for unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) and are preparing to start several new programmes. The plans, first outlined on 14 February by Brig Gen William Catto, Commander of the US Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory, and USN Capt Rand LeBouvier, a UAV requirements officer, call for each of the services to field at least three tiers of UAVs that are interoperable via the tactical control station (TCS).
