The US defence and security industry is facing a long-term upswing, with weapons procurement alone growing at 7% per year for the next five years, predicts an investment bank report. The report, Aerospace & Defense: A Brief Investment Overview from Stephens Investment Bankers, says that defence companies will profit from higher US Department of Defense procurement budgets as well as higher spending on homeland and corporate security.
