The Australian Army Aviation Corps retired its fleet of Bell 206B-1 Kiowa helicopters during an 18 October ceremony to mark the 50th anniversary of the corps' formation. The platform, which was in service with the Australian Army for almost 47 years, flew for the last time during a flypast and a variety of displays with other aircraft that were held that same day at the Army Aviation Training Centre in Oakey, Queensland, as well as in Sydney, Townsville, and Darwin.
